1949 / 50 Reunion

The 1949 and 1950 Alumni held their joint 60 Year Reunion at the Boatshed, Gladesville on Friday 9 April 2010. Over 80 Old Boys from the combined years attended the luncheon which ended up being a great occasion for all, particularly those who were visiting the Boatshed for the first time. John Southwick welcomed all, including the Headmaster Dr Wright who as the Guest Speaker gave the address during the course of the afternoon. Peter Jenkins MBE, was also a guest of the year. John particularly welcomed those from interstate and country areas as well those who made the journey from overseas Ken Leggett (Scotland), Mark Kirby (New Zealand) and Tony Suche (51) who had made the journey from Canada to catch up with fellow members of the 1950 Yarrala Cup winning 1st IV.
OBU Secretary Rick Clive was MC of the lunch, Rev Hamish Jamieson (WA) said Grace and John Southwick gave an inspiring Toast to the School.
