The Mitre Club invites members and guests to a lunch in honour of Ross Doig, Head of Art at Shore (1954-89).

Ross Doig was the Head of Art at Shore for 35 years during which he taught many students who would go on to greatness in a variety of artistic endeavours.   Philip Cox AO (56), Garry Shead (60), Ian Scott (61), Tim Storrier AM (67), Peter Godwin (71), Angus Nivison (71), Tom Carment  (72), Stephen King (76) Ross Laurie (78)  are just some of the many Shore students who were influenced by Ross’ teachings and who have had their works celebrated publicly.   Join us and the invited guests mentioned above to celebrate the life of a remarkable man who had a major influence on so many and was a mentor to many others.
