The OBU coninues to provide support and other services to its members and the Shore community generally by:

  • keeping Old Boys in touch with the School and with each other;
  • providing Old Boys with access to Shore's Community Chaplain's pastoral care and support, including weddings, baptisms and other chapel services
  • assisting in the provision of career advice;
  • providing Scholarships, general activities and general citizenship prizes to current students;
  • donating funds to particular projects such as the Archives Project, the War Service Project and publication of the "School Register" in 1989 and 1994);
  • nominating five OBU representatives to be members of the School Council;
  • membership of the Shore Foundation, for which the OBU provides five trustees; and
  • supporting groups associated with the School including th Foundation, the Shore Association, the Mitre Club, Friends of Shore, and the Masters Common Room.
